Hi. A recent reply to a post of mine asked me to introduce myself so here go's. Until last week I have never had a tractor let alone ride one. For years I have been towing heavy rollers and a harrow off the back of a elderly Land Rover on our 8 acre smallholding. The horses damage the ground like you wouldn't believe. I used to hire someone to top the grass. Now the proud owner of a complete last nut and bolt restoration 1953 ted20 petrol and next week hope to purchase a topper at the New Forest show Dorset UK. I was always a DIY and have in the past restored several classic boats. See pic attached showing a 1950's Albatross Continental complete with a side valve 100e engine that I found decaying in someones garden. Now a bit past clambering underneath things and now spend my winter days restoring antique clocks. The house now has lots of clocks (I can't bear to sell them) One day no doubt my wife will say no more please.
Anyway I attach three pics. The Continental, A Skeleton clock and of course the Fergie (now named Florence. Peter
ps Is there another Fergie owner near Wimborne Dorset I could go and share things?

Very nice. Your Fergie needs to do a little work and get her a bit dirty. :P
Looks like she just came from a show.

Ey up Pete.

Like the clocks. I've been banned from buying any more. I've got 30 odd to change when we muck about adding or removing the hour.

My special interest is electro mechanical time pieces , but I do have more than fifty odd other restored 'normal' ones lurking about .

Malcolm

I think the link may be in the engineering and mechanicals to craft such gems.

Oh... by the way, welcome to the forum Peter.

There are times when I think I'm in some sort of parallel universe.

Unfortunately I'm up in Yorkshire so a bit far away for hands on help.
