I don't know what it's like to take drugs but the high you get from starting an engine you just built is unreal,as good as any fix I would imagine :dance: and a few ya hoooos with it.I don't think they will be the last engines I will recondition.Its a drug.

I am getting black sutty water droplets out the exhaust on start up sometimes. It clears quickly but it’s falling down on the bonnet and making a mess. Is their any trick to stop this vapor. I was thinking of a down swept exhaust but i don’t know. I like the straight up look.

Mine does the same but it’s parked under a sheet tin roof and most of the soot gets blathered on that. A hinged exhaust cap flappy thing might deflect the exhaust fumes to one side if it’s fitted in the right position.
